Metal Precipitation System Design/Build
GA Engineering & Consulting staff provided engineering and construction services for the wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment system at a metals finishing facility. The wastewater treatment system will treat up to 4,000 gallons per day and is designed for the removal of heavy metals including hexavalent chromium. Our staff provided technical assistance to establish the Design Basis including predicted wastewater characteristics, a Process Flow Diagram for treatment, and a mass balance with predicted contaminant removal throughout the system. Our engineers were tasked with interfacing with wastewater treatment equipment vendors to select the major equipment and develop the General Equipment Arrangement and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Our staff were also responsible for developing Operational Requirements and Capital and Operational Costs for the wastewater treatment system.
